How to delete PDF pages in 4 steps

FreePDFLab runs entirely in your browser, so the steps below happen on your device without anything being uploaded to a server.

  1. Upload your PDF

Drop the PDF onto the upload area or click to browse. FreePDFLab loads the document locally and renders every page as a thumbnail.

  2. Click the pages to delete

Selecting a thumbnail crosses it out and marks it for deletion. Use "Select all" if you want to delete everything except a handful of pages, then unselect the ones to keep.

  3. Review before deleting

A summary panel shows how many pages will be removed and how many will remain. A warning appears if you try to delete every page, since the resulting PDF would be empty.

  4. Delete and download

Click "Delete pages". FreePDFLab regenerates the PDF without the marked pages and offers a preview before you download.

Why delete PDF pages with FreePDFLab

Visual page picker

See every page as a thumbnail before you delete. No more guessing whether page 7 is the diagram you want to remove or the chart you want to keep.

Bulk + precise control

Use "Select all" to start with everything marked and uncheck what you want to keep, or click pages one at a time. Both flows work.

Browser-only, fully private

The PDF is never uploaded to a server. Removing payslip pages, contract clauses, or scans of IDs is safe because the file stays on your device.

Truly free

No account, no email gate, no watermark. FreePDFLab is funded by AdSense, not by gating page-deletion behind a paywall.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded when I delete pages?

No. Page removal happens locally using pdf-lib. The PDF stays on your device the entire time and we have no way to see or store its contents.

Can I delete all pages from a PDF?

No. PDFs require at least one page. FreePDFLab prevents you from deleting the last remaining page and shows a warning if you try.

Will the page numbers shift after deletion?

The remaining pages are renumbered in order, but the page content itself is not changed. If your PDF had stamped page numbers in the content, those will now be out of order — use the "Add Page Numbers" tool to re-number them.

Can I delete a range of pages at once?

Yes. Use "Select all" then click individual thumbnails to unselect, or use "Select all" combined with the page-selection helpers to mark a range quickly.

Does deletion compress or rewrite the PDF?

FreePDFLab regenerates a clean PDF with just the remaining pages, so size usually drops in proportion to the pages removed. Text and image quality are preserved exactly.

Can I undo a deletion after downloading?

There is no undo inside the tool because nothing is saved server-side. The original file on your device is untouched — just upload it again to start over.
